The University of Notre Dame Investment Office, responsible for investing the University’s endowment pool assets, $18.9 billion as of the latest fiscal year end, seeks to hire a creative, energetic, and detail‐oriented Reporting Analyst who can leverage data analysis and modeling techniques to solve problems. The Reporting Analyst will join a highly engaged, mission driven and integrated team that plays an essential role in the investment management process, using industry‐leading technologies to identify and communicate data‐driven insights that inform the work of the Investment Office.
The Notre Dame endowment is among the largest college or university endowment, and the largest in Catholic higher education in the country. The portfolio invests with the top investment management firms in the world and is broadly diversified globally and by asset class with exposures to publicly traded equities, private equity and venture capital, fixed income, real estate and other assets. With returns among the best in American higher education, the University’s endowment provides vital ongoing support of the University’s mission, providing financial aid for students and funding for endowed professorships, academic programs, library collections, and other purposes to allow the University to achieve excellence in teaching and research.
The position is ultimately responsible for delivering accurate, timely and relevant management reports, including core performance reports shared with the Investment Committee of the Board of Trustees, that enhance decisions.

· Collaborating as part of a team responsible for creating and updating visualizations and recurring reports related to portfolio analysis, performance, risk analytics, compliance and overall data integrity.
· Interpreting data requests and developing a project plan; communicating deadlines and progress while working across various internal teams.
· Querying data from internal and external sources and presenting and distilling that data into a form that enhances decisions.
· Designing and maintaining data systems and tables; this includes remedying coding errors and other data‐related issues.
· Collaborating with programmers, engineers and team members to identify opportunities for process and workflow improvements, recommend system modifications and develop policies for data governance.
· Creating appropriate documentation that allows stakeholders to understand the steps of the data analysis process and duplicate or replicate the analysis if necessary.
· Researching new software products and enhancements to existing software products to foster the mindset of continuous improvement for our processes and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications
· Undergraduate and/or graduate degree in business or business analytics field.
Key skills and abilities of this position include:
· Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel
· Ability to work in Tableau, Power BI or similar business intelligence software.
· Experience with or willingness to learn coding languages such as SQL and/or Python a plus.
· Self‐motivated in completing a variety of duties while working independently, maintaining keen attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks, and working within deadlines.
· A highly professional demeanor and proven ability to effectively communicate with all levels from chief executives to student interns.
· Demonstrated aptitude and desire to learn and expand skills, with an eye toward continuous improvement.
· Ability to hold all Office matters in strict confidence.
· Commitment to excellence and teamwork in all facets of the workplace.
· 3+ years experience in financial reporting / analytical environment
